Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Although oftentimes unconscious, implicit bias impacts our thinking, decision making and action taking. Implicit bias is not only harmful and hurtful, but its perpetuation through stereotypes and microaggressions makes it deadly. In the last several years, organizations have come out of the woodwork to make a declaration against racism and have released diversity statements, but what does this really mean and look like in practice. For many organizations, there has been an over emphasis on diversity, rather than peeling back the layers to evaluate how to truly engage in anti-racist, anti-oppressive practice.

If you are truly committed to moving away from being performative and intentionally engaging in actions to create organizational transformation, then join this workshop. Participants will gain deeper understanding around the concepts of diversity, inclusion, tokenism and equity and explore strategies to implement an anti-racist, anti-oppressive framework to dismantle the systems of white supremacy in their organizations in order to create transformative change and move towards liberation.
