Recruiting and Developing Peer Recovery Coaches logoWe are excited to announce a groundbreaking funding opportunity aimed at addressing critical needs in crime victim, behavioral health, and substance misuse services. Through a cooperative agreement with OVC, JBS is soliciting applications for the Supporting Children, Youth, and Families Affected by the Drug Crisis: Recruiting and Developing Peer Recovery Coaches initiative. The purpose of the Peer Recovery Coach initiative is to recruit, train, deploy and support paid family-centered peer recovery coaches to assist a person seeking recovery from substance misuse while also providing focused and intentional support to improve the well-being of children and youth who have experienced victimization as a result of the substance use, and the broader family unit.

This initiative focuses on the expansion of the peer recovery workforce and the establishment of a specialization for family-centered peer services and increase organizational readiness and support for this workforce. We recognize the invaluable role that peer support plays in the journey to recovery, and this funding opportunity seeks to bolster that support system for the individual and their children and families who have also been impacted, while establishing the organizational support that promotes health and wellness of the workforce.

We invite proposals that align with these goals and look forward to catalyzing positive change in our communities through this innovative funding opportunity. For more information and to apply, see the Request for Applications linked below.
