Omaha Nation Community Response Team or ONCRT helps American Indian families involved in substance abuse through Regional Partnership Grant funds. Adolescents and children up to the age 18 who are involved in the child welfare system can receive an evidence based, culturally relevant substance abuse program, Walking in Beauty on the Red Road (WBRR). Families can also receive intensive case management, wrap around in-home services, screening, assessment and services, evidence-based parenting (Positive Indian Parenting), Family Centered Treatment, and specialized cultural knowledge and identity development. Omaha Nation partners with Child Welfare, State, County and Tribal Substance Abuse agencies, Tribal Juvenile Court, and Tribal Juvenile Probation, education, mental health services, employment services, State Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, and other community services.
